What's trifling is figuring out paradise
A wanderer without a purpose with shades on as disguise
warm sweat trickling down a bended back
"Oh, what a balmy weather.", she thought
as she puts her hair up in a bun, she stared at the sun
the kind of stare that possesses much hatred for the state that it has caused her to be in
but what caught her eyes, are colourful dots decorating the sky.
Shielding with her left arm
adjusting her focus to avoid direct contact from the nasty gleams
she lost her bearings and plopped butt first on the beaded white sands
coming into contact with empty shells and fragmented bottles
it must have been something sharp as she sensed a sting
"It's September now, maybe it will scar in June."
gazing back at the dots, turns out they are hot air balloons.
"When she's up there, she wants to be immortal."
caught in the middle of an azure cosmic
She has no care for the world
but she did care for the world
esurient for a permanent escapade
with eyes tightly shut she began to run
run away like a baby swallow just acquire the skills to fly
and suddenly, she hit a hard surface..
she heard a faint voice, "Sherilyn, Sherilyn, wake up!"
jolted, she realised that she's doing a nine to five.
*grumbles*

Something Blue
The clock strikes twelve
a strained substance hovered
muddled by the ambiguous scent, shapes and sizes.
Yearning for blood, could I comprehend?
while I am entangled in this impervious knot
too deep-rooted, I cannot seem to break free.
The continuous charismatic cadence
too deafening that left me masking with unsavoury moisture
that lingers inanimately just enough to coat the stench
but somehow the rhythm entices my curiousity
it heightens with every note
with every beat, draws me closer to...
The future, I was patiently waiting
was immediately within reach
but all I hear were chants of "stop"
"before you break, before you burn"
"before your body turns to ashes"
"stop".
Dizzy, I turned to look at the crowd to find a way out
let the pieces fall into place, I figured
I'll take my god damn time, I reaffirmed
I have acquired the knowledge to rise
from the blunder I call my own
to stand tall
oh, the sweet victory I could taste
and nothing else matters
nothing...
