Thursday's Rambling

On Earth or high up in the wild blue yonder
There is zero difference between commoners and royals
As I drown deeper into the virtually detached atmosphere
I realise that to procrastinate is to be alkaloidal.

Sitting on the greens while pondering about life
Wishing that every fall is not a 10 on the Richter scale
Wishing that every stab is not caused by a knife
Tumbles are preferred to be on candy coated platform the size of a whale.

Volk Bus

When I paint my private dome

I was not aware that it'll take that long

So I took a turn in my 1968 Volk bus home

And then I realise that the turn is wrong.

Adakah kita hanya boneka?

Mereka kata

Kita hanyalah boneka

Forced to do the cha cha

Berbaris,

Mengikut atucara

No, aku tak akan terpedaya. 

Ekspedisi ini adalah antara hidup dan mati

Adakah perjalanan ini perlu mengikut polisi?

Atau kita diberi 'freedom of speech"?

Walau apa pun kita jangan saling membenci. 

Apalah susah hormat-menghormati?

Adakah hina untuk mengasihi?

Apa maknanya untuk mencurigai?

Tiada bangsa mengajar kita ini. 

Ingatlah kita insan biasa

Jangan biar badan binasa

Kalau ada yang terasa

Ampun diminta daripada semua.

Bila tiba pagi

Sibuk di pagi hari

Terburu-buru membawa kereta

Laju dan laju lagi

Tapi masih sangkut di jalan raya. 

Membuka stesen radio

Tuk menghilangkan kebosanan

Siapa kata boyband tak macho?

"Bye, Bye, Bye" menjadi tatapan.

(I made you sing "Bye, Bye, Bye"!)

Sesudah tiba di pejabat

Mengheret punggung ke kerusi

Rakan sekerja meminta pendapat

'Bubba Gump Shrimp' atau 'Bulgogi'?

Boss bertanya, "Report tak siap lagi?"

Jawabnya, "Outlook saya mati"

Kembali ke rumah untuk mandi

Bantal di kepul, sedia untuk parti!

Apakah maknanya cinta?
Bila dikau berpura-pura
Cintaku tiada pernah sangsi
Hanya kau bermain-main dengan hati.

Apakah maknanya berdua?
Dibelakangku kau berdusta
Aku tampil sebagai boneka
Untuk diperlakukan semata-mata.

Menanti angin salju
Pohon hijau melambai-lambai
Dedaun gugur ditiup lembut
Menunggu senja ditepi pantai.

Illuminating like fireworks in the sky

Till our temporary brilliance turns to ash

We pull the darkness while we can.

Unshackling these chains around my ankles

Walking the path no creature knows

Please show me the reasons to fight

Under the skies of moonlit shining bright.

To take off that burden that persists

Through the protons, neutrons securing the frame

Why everybody must die to exist?

Isn't there some thing for everyone to reclaim?
